I would like to start by saying that the hills hurt, but it wasn’t that bad. We peddled 83 mile in 7 hours and 22 minutes. That time included rest stops and two flat tires. We were blessed with cool weather and very little rain which made for an enjoyable ride.
I will be heading to Greenville for the 2008 Bike MS Event. If anyone would like to make a donation there is still time. It looks like we will be doing 80 miles in the rain on Saturday to raise money and awareness for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. (We are talking bicycles).
Have a great weekend.
This is the Saturday Route for the 2008 Bike MS Ride in our area. I hope to make it another 40 or 67 miles on Sunday. We’ll have to see how I feel after 80 miles on Saturday.
I’ll try to post a few pics this week while we are on the road. I guess I will have to settle for the exercise bike at the hotel. Two weeks until the MS Ride. Not a good time to miss a week of riding.
I finally put the lights on my bike. I’ve had them for 3 months. It was really nice to head out as the sun was going down. I have a few adjustments to make, but they seemed to work well. The kids stayed at home this time and I did my 8 mile route to the marina and back in less tha 35 minutes. It looks like this will be the last ride for a few days. I expect Hanna to bring rain this weekend and little more. The tread mill have to do. I can’t skip many days with the MS Ride in 3 weeks.
